1/ Today ends an era of 16 years where we've almost perfectly kept our children's faces, names & even genders for the most part off social media. I thought 16Yrs ago that we'd be wise enough to retake our privacy from tech by now. Oops.

2/ Zev has asked to begin a YouTube channel (GenerationZ) so that he can discuss what it is like growing up now in Generation Z following the Millennials. I have learned to trust him at a high level and even interviewed him about this on my channel here:

3/ If you're interested in the cohort now entering their Teens w the Trump era for its formative years, let's listen to our kids in their own words rather than some pundits speculating about who they might be.

Can’t shake the feeling we all are being subjected to *totally* different Terms of Service.
I wasn’t trying to get this tweet removed. Twitter tells me it is no longer available but not that it has been deleted. Then they sent me to a page for clarification that explained in some corporate speak the many different things that might explain its unavailability to me. Arg.
Now @twitter tells me that *I* in particular am not 'authorized' to see the tweet. Are others "like me" not fit for full twitter? It's not like I called for a violent felony to be perpetrated on others. I just made the mistake of talking ToS.

The speech rule book is fascinating.

1/ The Christmas Thread.

First off, Merry Xmas to all.

I’m asking for your help. I want to know whether any of you know about any quiet working groups or meetings involving but not limited to Visa/MC/PayPal/etc working on the issues of “populism”/“radicalization” as euphemisms.
2/ This would be organized by by some group like CFR, NAS or some other blue chip institution. It would be looking to figure out how to handle the “problems” of popular nullification of institutional objectives. In short it would view Brexit, Trump and restrictionism as “hate”.
3/ This quiet meeting would bring together the major “stakeholders”(?) which would not include the public. The twin problems the meeting would actually be trying to solve are “free speech” and “democratic choice” which the public generally doesn’t want solved at all.

The “hate speech” moral panic now appears to have gotten through to the financial infrastructure level with platforms moving to a *totally* subjective standard of being unable to tell us the rules except on a case by case basis that can’t be codified:

Think about what that means if true. “Hate speech” can’t be defined except by special oracles who now gate access to the financial layer.

This isn’t a few green haired kids protesting on a small campus. This would be the financial processing layer. The backbone of civil society.
I figure I must be getting this wrong reading between the lines and I do apologize in advance if I am not doing a good job here. Open to being educated. Would be thrilled to be wrong.

It’s the 8th day of the school year & I just received a call from my daughters high school informing me they arrested a child with a loaded 9mm gun on campus this morning. I am now standing in my kitchen sobbing.

I should not have to live like this.

My Dad was shot & killed in 1991. His life was stolen. It left me parentless at the age of 19. I've been volunteering w/ @MomsDemand since its inception 5 yrs ago. This work is grueling, but I (like so many others) are compelled...
...to do this work because I simply have no choice. Sitting on the sidelines is not an option. The person who murdered my Dad will be released from prison in 1 1/2 years -- and could buy a gun w/o a bg check in a private sale....
...bg checks are not required in Missouri (where I live) --- or federally because Rs thwarted the Manchin-Toomey bg check bill after Sandy Hook. When they closed the door on us, we took this battle to the states....
