I think it's pretty cool that in 1477 was a woman named Julian Rawson who was a member of the Worshipful Cutlers of Ldn. Here she is paying for her apprentice, John Baylly. I like to envision Julian using a sword forged by her own hands to boss around John B. (Guildhall MS 7146)
And here she is the following year, taking on *another* apprentice, Edmund Terry. Way to go, Julian! I salute you,
