Although error checking in Go is verbose, I prefer it over silent errors. It's impossible to write reliable code in that world. Love syntactic sugar here.
I am cautiously optimistic about generics. The complexity will take 5+ years to iron out, especially performance. And it enables "parametric polymorphic astronaut abstractions," which are entirely anti-Go and dilute its simplicity. But probably inevitable.
