Bill Clinton had SCOTUS nominations while he was under investigation because he was under investigation nearly his entire presidency. Should they be removed from the SCOTUS because they were nominated by a president that was under investigation that also perjured himself?
You can't complain about one president doing something and disregard what another president did. President Obama's administration was investigated about Fast & Furious should his nominations have been stopped as well?
Nearly every president has had some type of investigation, warranted or not, during the time of their administration and often they are appointing people to the bench or to cabinet level positions. Stopping appointments due to investigations would paralyze government entirely.
