Been trying to read the writings of several "suspects" to figure out which "senior official in the Trump administration" wrote this op-ed.

My dad agrees w Bill Kristol and thinks that it's Kevin Hassett, Trump's chief economist, who penned the NYT op-ed. The op-ed makes references to fiscal policies and what not.

Another suspect is Nick Ayers, Pence's chief of staff, b/c of Ayers's proximity to Pence & use of the word "lodestar." However, according to National Review last yr, Ayers wanted to purge Republicans unsupportive of Trump's agenda: nationalreview.com/2017/10/mike-p…
