...unwanted change on classic comic books and characters. Cherished superheroes were replaced with flat and uninteresting new alternate versions solely because they were deemed "non diverse" white males, and complaints were met with accusations of "bigotry and harassment."
The books themselves became rife with terrible stories, cultural lectures, and most irritating of all, typos and grammar mistakes that should have been discovered and corrected by the assistant editors, if not the editors themselves.
Someone discovered something strange about Marvel Comics: All of the editors were male, all of the assistant editors were female. When a photo hit twitter that showed all of these assistant editors were attractive and extremely young, some outrage at Marvel resulted from fans.
This has become known as the 'milkshake incident', because the photo was of the girls all enjoying milkshakes together. These assistant editors names were known to fans. A few threatened Trump supporters on twitter and promised to "remember who voted for Trump". Outrage ensued.
On top of this, retailers were beginning to complain to Marvel at summit meetings, telling Marvel that they couldn't sell this new product. The comics media colluded to call these retailers bigots and silence them.
In the meantime, YouTube critics were gaining popularity by using their voices to speak out against what was now clearly seen as one more hobby that had been hijacked by Social Justice Warriors. Dozens of comic shops went out of business while SJWs doubled down on agenda.
The YouTube critics, specifically Diversity & Comics, just a dude from Nebraska, became voices for an entire disenfranchised customer base that just wanted escapist fun, not to have to pay for left wing diatribes disguised as superhero comics.
Professional creators who had become ostracized following the election of President Trump moved to create our own independent industry, adopting the banner that was given to us as a slur, "ComicsGate", and to date, our comics have earned nearly two million dollars in four months.
The cultural marxists have organized to destroy this movement using the media and strange dishonest voices like the ones that will find you to decry us as various -ists. YOU ARE HERE.
