Fact: Most of the top #darkmoney groups are attack dogs. For 14 of the top 15 groups, more than 50% of their spending on ads overtly calling for the election or defeat of candidates from 2010 to 2016 was negative. For 6 groups, more than 90% was negative bit.ly/2QnsXFB
Top among these #darkmoney groups was the US Chamber of Commerce, which reported spending ~$130M on political ads to the #FEC between 2010 and 2016. That’s about $1 of every $6 spent on political ads by all dark money groups during this time. bit.ly/2QnsXFB

One of the questions I’d want to ask Kavanaugh is whether he has direct knowledge of who are the individuals behind the group who committed $10M to getting him nominated,spent $7M to ensure Garland was blocked & spent $10M making sure Gorsuch was seated👇 huffingtonpost.com/entry/opinion-…
I would also ask Kavanaugh if a case came up that gave the Supreme Court the ability to make sure that its completely transparent to the public WHO is donating & how much is being donated would he support that transparency or continue to hide behind the #CitizensUnited case law

Johnson notes that the group was “incorporated a year ago by Columbus, Ohio-based attorney James Ryan.” American Exceptionalism Institute is now the third entity incorporated Ryan that started spending money to targeting politicians with ads.
