7/ Here’s what we did do: We called for Senators to fulfill their oversight duty by waiting to hold a confirmation hearing until the National Archives and Records Administration had finished its review of Kavanaugh’s records so they could get the fullest picture of the nominee.
8/ We did the same early last year to ensure there was adequate time for Senate committees to receive and review Cabinet nominee disclosures from the Office of Government Ethics.
9/ The purpose of much of our work is to strengthen Congressional oversight. In our letter regarding Kavanaugh’s records, we recognized Sen. @ChuckGrassley’s efforts to ensure all Senators can conduct oversight of the executive branch—that's exactly what Congress needs more of.
