This is literally his worst tweet. I don't even know where to start.
You get that he's calling Dr. Ford a liar, right? Because she didn't report. Like the vast majority of sexual assault victims.
And dragging her parents into it is...wow. He's saying they weren't good parents. That maybe she wasn't raised right. That maybe she was a Bad Girl.
This is a multi-level character attack on a sexual assault victim. Breathtaking.

- Coached friend in beating a polygraph. Claimed in testimony not to have done this. There is corroboration for this LIE through the written testimony under penalty of perjury from a former boyfriend.

Republicans’ desperate attempt to distract from Dr. Blasey Ford’s powerful testimony by blaming Democrats is refuted by her own words: "All sexual assault victims should be able to decide for themselves whether their private experience is made public."
Judge Kavanaugh kept repeating that four witnesses swore that Dr. Blasey Ford’s account “did not happen.” Not true. All we have are statements from their lawyers claiming that they have no knowledge of the night in question. That is not the same thing as it "did not happen.”
One of the four witnesses Judge Kavanaugh kept on referring to as exonerating, Leland Keyser, has said publicly that she believes Dr. Blasey Ford.

I'm a sociologist who studies adolescent sexual violence. On this thread, I will be live tweeting the #Kavanaugh hearing, chiming in with sociological insights and research findings.
Full disclosure--I will probably step away for parts of it. While many conservatives have cast feminists as people who rejoice at allegations of sexual assault against powerful men, this is a painful process for us. We know survivors. We are survivors. And I will need breaks.
It does not bode well that the beginning of this hearing is starting with equating #Kavanaugh and #Ford's experiences with harassment following Dr. Ford's allegations. They are absolutely not the same.

The phrase “he said, she said” is getting used a lot these days, and people are doing it exactly wrong. The phrase is loaded in a way that favors the he, when here it should favor the she. /1
In a vacuum, “he said, she said” should mean there’s no way to tell which person is correct and which one isn’t. It doesn’t tell you what to do about it. For instance you could err on the safe side, whatever that side might be in a given situation. /2
In accusations of sexual assault, it should mean that you can’t tell which person is lying. You should then take other facts into consideration. Namely, the vast majority of sexual assault accusations are true. You don’t know if the woman is honest, but odds are she is. /3

@realdonaldtrump, you’re a monster.
Let’s break down the rape myths you are pushing to discredit a survivor.

First, many people don’t report their assaults. Why? Look at what is happening to Dr. Blasey Ford DECADES after this happened.
There is no “perfect” survivor. The idea that a 15 yo girl who experienced assault would have immediately reported it to the police, or even her parents, is ridiculous and insulting to the thousands of women and girls who have experienced sexual assault and the ensuing trauma.
