Brexit.

When you have to pick a line that doesn't actually say what you're campaigning for coz after 2 years you still don't know what it is.

"it's time to deliver what the people voted for"

Just to be clear leave. If we give you another 2 years will you have an answer?
I mean honestly how ridiculous is this. How about

"time to deliver Canada+"

Or

"time to deliver EEA"

Or

"time to deliver no deal and go WTO"

And why don't we have those lines? Coz these clueless idiots rely on not admitting they have no idea what they want.
Time to get rid of all "foriners" would at least play to the base.

Time to make our own way in the world would be ludicrous but at least an idea

Time to get out of Europe so we can continue to evade taxes and speculate on the pound would be the most honest thing to say.

Started my new year's resolution to buy #plasticfree. Thought I'd try out
@waitrose first, due to their "ethical policy".

I couldn't buy 90% of my shopping list so basically left with almost nothing.

Everything is plastic wrapped. All completely unnecessarily.
This week it looks like aubergine and mushrooms only.

I brought my own tupperware so I could buy meat and fish plastic free. They wouldn't use them to sell me the deli stuff on grounds of "health and safety"
Look at this nonsense. Waitrose suppliers have actually actively moved away from glass to put oil in Faux glass containers. All of these are plastic.

Brexiters lied that there was a sovereignty issue.

But now as a result of their incompetence they may force us into an arrangement with the EU which creates a real sovereignty issue.

Says everything u need to know about Leaving the EU.

1. The one argument or no deal #Brexit that I can respect is a need for a complete political clear out but that must also include the ERG scumbags - and there is a real danger with this line of thinking that actually it won't make any difference.
2. The problem is as much to do with our top down culture of politics where Westminster continues to set the agenda and media falls into line - and so do all of you. The no deal propaganda campaign starts in the bowels of the tory right apparatus. Establishment as it gets.
3. There is no way our political class is ever going to admit they are the source of our problems thus we cannot expect them to resolve the problems - nor will they get out of the way voluntarily. They will continue to play their dimal tribal games.

1) the #Brexit 2nd ref, a possible solution to the options

As momentum builds for a #PeoplesVote there's some concern that the Leave side will pull the same tricks they pulled first time around

What if we could ensure fair, or at least fairer, play by all sides?
Here's 1 option
2) there's 2 distinct characteristics of the Leave campaign, 1 of which was arguably unique.

The first was that the offer from Vote Leave was fluid & vague. It would move from "we'll stay in the SM" to "we'll get access" to "the SM doesn't matter" and back
3) the second characteristic was even more unusual. The Vote Leave campaign, perhaps for the first time in UK history, made promises & took positions based on what a 3rd party, outside the UK, would do

Essentially Leave made promises concerning the EU they had no control over

People like @Anna_Soubry and @ChukaUmunna have been making a good case for @peoplesvote_uk based on the idea that in the original ref people didn’t know what kind of Brexit they were voting for. This makes sense because some people voted leave expecting to stay in SM etc 1/
The problem is the counter argument is also good. The mandate granted to the ref was to decide whether we stayed or left and everyone involved was clear about that at the time. To those with a sense of proportion this isn’t convincing but Brexiteers are people of principle 2/

1) Just so everyone is clear, the #Brexit that May is proposing, even if she gets it, is pretty much pointless.
We'll be a little bit poorer, won't have any additional "control" to speak of, and will carry on paying for the privilege.
2) the new FTAs, if they appear, will have minimal impact but most likely the public will argue against them in a "Britain first" kind of way.

The question from the Belgian journalist to May of "is it worth it?" will be the question everyone outside the UK will be asking
3) Absolutely no-one will be happy with the #Brexit outcome save a few idiots who only care about the symbolism of leaving. Certainly it won't resemble anything like "what we voted for", whatever that was, because it'll be a new, flawed, contradictory & compromised Brexit
