Today is the 10th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act, which reinstated Congress’ inclusive definition of disability after the Supreme Court narrowed the definition—Democrats and Republicans coming together to benefit over 61 million Americans!
Ten years ago, Congress needed to act to preserve the definition of disability; bi-partisan efforts with the disability and business communities resulted in the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act.
A great example of Democrats and Republicans protecting the civil rights of over 61 million Americans.
