I’m looking forward to speaking to Anderson Cooper tonight on @ac360 to discuss Deborah Ramirez’s claim. We have been working hard to cooperate with the Senate Judiciary Committee, but at this point have to point out some hard truths. 1/4
Deborah Ramirez only came forward after being contacted by Ronan Farrow and carefully working through her memories only to ensure her accuracy. We reached out to the Senate Judiciary Committee to schedule a call to discuss how best to bring them that information 2/4
and they have refused to meet all scheduled appointments. We have officially requested an FBI investigation and our client remains adamant that is the appropriate venue for her to discuss her trauma. 3/4
Ms. Ramirez is ready to swear to the FBI under penalty of perjury. Why won’t the Senate Judiciary Committee welcome that? 4/4

Debbie Ramirez spoke to the FBI for over two hours this past Sunday. It was a detailed and productive interview, and the agents were clearly motivated to investigate the matter in any way they were permitted. Ms. Ramirez identified a number of witnesses, and, 1/
at the end of the interview, her lawyers provided the FBI the names and known contact information of additional witnesses (totaling more than 20) who may have corroborating information. Although we do not know the status of the investigation, 2/
we are not aware of the FBI affirmatively reaching out to any of those witnesses. Though we appreciated the agents who responded on Sunday, we have great concern that the FBI is not conducting—or not being permitted to conduct—a serious investigation. 3/

I am angry & heartbroken for anyone who has ever been dismissed like #ChuckGrassley is dismissing #ChristineBlaseyFord and her very serious allegations, in order to rush a vote for a lifetime appointment to the highest court in the land.

So, I wrote a letter to @senjudiciary.
Contacting members of the committee was hard. I got MANY responses from senators that they only will hear from their state’s constituents.

So I ask you all, if you live in a state with a Senator on Judiciary, please contact them.
