donating money allows supplies to be purchased locally & in bulk. it can be hard to know where it’s wise to send your money - local mutual aid efforts don’t have the PR budget of big orgs like the red cross. that’s a good thing. they’re doing the work.
there are so many good people stepping up to do this work. we are building the world we want to live in, building power outside the state & big nonprofit structures, providing aid in our own communities because we can. we don’t need permission. we don’t need executive directors.
