Dr. Ford has not claimed a repressed memory of the assault that she retrieved through therapy. To the contrary, she claimed the assault was seared into her memory and she never ever forgot it. She told her husband about it even in 2002, and her therapist in 2012 and 2013. 2/
She has also allegedly told a number of friends and acquaintances about the assault, but of course never ever mentioned Judge Kavanaugh's name, which is fine. So here is the greatest singular flaw in her narrative that invalidates everything else. 3/
With such searing of the incident in her memory, how is it earthly possible that she forgot the YEAR in which it happened? 4/
And not just momentarily, but even when recounting to two different therapists, one in 2012 and another in 2013, she doesn't remember that she was a sophomore in high school when it happened. 5/
If she knew she was a high school sophomore when it happened, why would she ever say "in late '80's" or in her 'late teens?" One can easily forget where it happened, or even on what date or day of the week it happened, but to forget the YEAR it happened belies credibility. 6/
Now the YEAR is important, because if it happened in any year other than 1982, the narrative just does not work in roping in Judge Kavanaugh. Hence the desperate attempt to transmute the year into 1982, despite independent evidence (e.g. therapists' notes) pointing otherwise. 7/x
Needless to say Dr. Ford claiming that her academic performance suffered in college because of the assault, but does not mention any such performance problems in high school, also points to the assault NOT having happened when she was a high school sophomore, but possibly later.
