Too many Pret a Manger's, not enough Chipotle's... or any Mexican food really
Hyde Park is wonderful. Green Park and St James parks are a bit too crowded and car-exhaust-y for running
Too many things require a UK bank account, and getting a UK bank account requires too much paperwork
It rains but not as much as people say... so far...☀️🌦️
After two full days of research and testing out various networks, SIM cards, etc, Project Fi and Google Pixel are my saviors ♥️ Farewell my blue iMessage friends...
I'm surprised by all the unfamiliar phrases! The trunk is called "the boot", signs say "give way" instead of "yield", a rental is called a "let", etc
I love paying for everything with my phone. And I mean everything. I get on to the TUBE with Apple Pay *cough* Google Pay
British accents don't stop being delightful even when everyone around you has one
It feels like there are more people from various cultures, mostly European, here than in NY. Refreshingly diverse
Grocery delivery is better here than in the US, yet US pharmacies are better (as I was forewarned)
Apparently McDonald's has higher quality food here but I haven't tested that one out yet personally
Five hours ahead of NY isn't so bad. Eight hours ahead of SF is kinda rough
I miss my NY friends and family more than I expected, sooner than I expected
Still not adjusted to the jetlag... It's a week in and I'm up tweeting at 3am
On Sunday nothing opens till 11am (as I learned the hard way)
Pumped for week 2! Now that I have internet and a bed, maybe I'll get some actual work done that's not setting up my new life... maybe after a quick trip to Ikea. I don't have any chairs yet 😝
