@wto @TheTerminal More than a dozen countries on Tuesday said they opposed the European Union's proposal to modify its @wto commitments to account for Britain’s forthcoming departure from the European trading bloc.
@wto @TheTerminal The U.S., China, Japan, India, Russia, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, New Zealand, Australia and others said the EU’s plan is unacceptable because it includes inaccurate and incomplete trade data that may unfairly impact the bloc’s current @wto trade terms.
@wto @TheTerminal The countries also criticized Britain’s separate plan to replicate the EU's @wto trade terms, which they said are based on a draft version of the EU’s @wto commitments that has not yet been certified by the WTO's 164 members.
