1) Ambassadors of 27 EU governments expected to see draft of political declaration on post #brexit EU-UK future this morning. Should start leaking out soon after if that is the case ..
2) PM’s suddenly scheduled extra meetings in Brussels on Saturday are, I suspect, part-choreography for U.K. domestic consumption to give sense of her battling the EU to win ‘concessions’ at the last moment
3) That said, there are issues on table - such as the PM insisting on language in political declaration implying that her Chequers #Brexit plan is not dead
4) EU has up sleeve to possibly give more on security partnership but will insist on ‘inseparable four freedoms of single market’

7) NB The Brexit divorce deal does not require unanimous approval by all EU countries but the post Brexit trade deal will do
8) BUT Spain has a kind of moral veto here in that Tusk said the 27 EU countries would jump together when comes to #Brexit. If one country ie Spain is publicly v unhappy about text then will be difficult for Tusk to say at Sunday summit ‘the EU endorses this text’
