AG Jeff Sessions and DAG Rod Rosenstein are at the US attorney's office in DC this morning for an announcement about DOJ's efforts to combat "transnational crime"
Rosenstein talks about need to strike at transnational criminal organizations "wherever they are" and the resources DOJ is committing to that.

He then introduces Sessions, and there's a brief embrace as the AG goes to the podium
DC's US Attorney Jessie Liu is here (next to the podium in red), and next to her are two senior DOJ officials working on transnational criminal org investigations. The room is full of local federal prosecutors
AG Sessions announces a new task force focused on transnational organized crimed, to be overseen by DAG Rosenstein. It'll focus on five orgs designated as top threats: MS-13, Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generacion, Sinaloa Cartel, Clan del Golfo, and Lebanese Hezbollah
Sessions and Rosenstein left after making the announcement and did not take questions, that's a wrap
At today's joint AG + DAG announcement, Sessions began with a shout-out to Rosenstein, noting they're both former longtime prosecutors: "His experience, as you all know, is so valuable to us in the Department of Justice, it informs his leadership every day"
