Plants can be very sensitive to average temperatures. Barley (used to make beer) is one of those plants. Yep. Climate change will impact the availability of your beer.

This is a well known property of food crops, affecting things like the ease of empire expansion E-W across Asia/Europe vs N-S across Africa/South America. Most crops can't expand beyond a narrow set of latitudes.

Whisky, which can use barley, corn, rye, wheat, even oats, will be less reactive to these changes, but will also be hit over time. Single Malt is, of course, made with barley by law.
