Bit early still, but Ron DeSantis has the momentum. I'd also note that @FLGovScott didn't lead in the average of polls before either of his elections. With the exception of @PPDNews' 2014 debut, the forecasters had the state going for @CharlieCrist.

Just to back up both of those claims, because they're true, here is that link. The result of the final #PPDPoll, juxtaposed to public polls dating back to 9/12/14, included. Wiki also gives a better sense than RCP of the lopsided, inaccurate Crist lean. peoplespunditdaily.com/news/elections…
For those who hit the paywall. Ironically, the St. Pete Poll taken on 10/8 – 10/11 & PPD Poll taken from 10/17 – 10/19, both had Scott +1. UNF had Crist +5; TB Times/Bay News 9/News 13/UF tied at 40%. It was stale, too. But you get the point. Scott didn't lead in the average.
