Look, I'm sorry that some people have been ignored. And I understand if some of them kicked back or mistakenly believed the EU caused their problems.
But we solve nothing by punishing everyone else for that

And even if Remainers take a deep breath & drop the racist/ignorant/too old to care attacks, nothing changes that basic fact

Even today on Twitter you will find people confidently saying "the EU will cave"

@suzanne_moore 4) even many of the public who say "let's walk out with no deal" still really believe that's just hard negotiating tactics to squeeze a deal out of the craven EU. Hard Brexit means hard for the EU, a hard line taken by the UK

@suzanne_moore 5) on the contrary to Suzanne's point, progressives actually have to accept that a large number of people were fooled, and that it's dishonest not to say so.
People can be wrong. People *have* been wrong, in very large numbers, several times in the past.

@suzanne_moore 6) the most ridiculous part of this "but we must accept the vote" line by progressives is that none of the people who were fooled will thank us for indulging them when it all goes wrong.

When #Brexit hits living standards, they won't just shrug and say "oops"

@suzanne_moore 7) Brexit is part of a bigger picture, linking Trump, manipulation via the media, Russian interference and a whole bunch of other nasties.

It's a victory for intolerance, xenophobia, division & hate.
