It seems social media interactions in the resistance are down since Kavanaugh. This is potentially troubling. To be honest, I expected a spike leading up to midterms. I hope everyone is out canvassing. But I fear many have become disheartened (which is just what they wanted).

Whatever the case, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who's staying connected & continuing to share important info, especially about the election. This might be our last shot at recovering & restoring democratic norms, and the social media space is a critical battleground. /2
There continues to be an onslaught of social media infiltration by nefarious actors on the right. Digital mercenaries and special ops forces coming in to sow discord and divide us as a nation. They are also attacking our #BlueWave candidates in a big way. /3
I ask all of you to hang in there & continue to share & fight back in the social media space. The disinformation campaign is strong, but our side doesn't flood the interwebs with bots & propaganda. All we have is each other: real people - sharing & influencing thru truth. /4
People are disheartened. Today's political news makes many want to retreat instinctually to their 'cozy place' and tune out the 'noise'. If you are reading this you are likely not one of those people. But they are out there. We all know them. /5
What's happening right now is nation-defining. It is future-defining. We need everyone on the battlefield. We need canvassers. We need phone bankers. We need marchers. And yes - we need tweeters. If we leave this space open to right wing bots & trolls, their propaganda will rule.
So hang in there. I ask all of you to do everything you can with your time, energy and treasure for the next 2.5 weeks. Volunteer, tweet, post. Stay focused on electing Democrats. Then - after we take the House and Senate, stay on it. Don't retreat. We can't. Because they won't.
