The Chief found a way to keep this to only two justices voicing disagreement with the order. That's an impressive compromise — which involved quite a bit of work inside the court, I have to imagine. buzzfeednews.com/article/chrisg…
(To be clear, a compromise within the court is not a statement about the acceptability of that compromise to folks outside of the court. It's just a statement of what's happening within the court.)
One comment: The way Gorsuch chooses to describe what has gone on here — ignoring the changed understanding of where the question came from and Ross's testimony to Congress — is ... not the most compelling or accurate presentation of the information in this case.

Following up on last night's #SCOTUS order in the Census case — buzzfeednews.com/article/chrisg… — Judge Furman has already scheduled a hearing for 2:30p Wednesday and ordered a letter or letters including info on when Gore's deposition is taking place to be submitted by 10a Wednesday.
