1. The talking heads are trying to tell you the House districts are different than the rest of the country but they aren't. While all politics are local in a general way and in a normal year, the House elections like the Senate elections are now national elections to a degree.
2. The House elections can be looked at as battleground states are looked at in a presidential election just at a smaller scale. They are filled with a somewhat equal amount of Dem voters and GOP voters.
3. While the candidates matter and the types of campaigns they run matter, these battleground districts will also react to national news and events.
4. Since the vast majority of them are starting out as GOP districts, for every point of turnout and approval the GOP gains, more seats will become safe. The same goes for the Senate.
5. Thus, Trump's approval numbers matter. The economic news matters. The handling of the southern mob matters.
6. In the last 2 weeks I have seen the Dems give zero reasons to vote for them and I've been looking. They aren't winning the undecideds at this point. Their actions with the southern mob are not helping.
7. In factl, in race after race they are giving reason to not vote for them, again and again. They are underdogs but running as if they are favored to win. Amazing really.
8. The hubris is really amazing. The disrespect for the other side is equally amazing. They act as if they don't want votes that have any different thoughts then theirs.
9. Everything is up in the air in these districts but since it's a national election now, you can kind of ballpark the end results by following the national mood.
10. From my observations it appears that more and more seats are becoming safe for the GOP daily. We can very well win this. The next 13 days should be ones for the history books. Buckle up and make sure you vote.
11. As long as turnout is there at the same level as the Dems the GOP keeps the House. If the undecided and Indies throw all in with the GOP we could be looking at a landslide and several Dem districts quickly falling on Nov 6t that have been undefended because of their hubris.
