Just a thought as the time for New Year's resolutions approach & millions will go on some type of diet. Instead of a diet, try to eat only real food for a couple months. Cook everything yourself. Eat real fruits & vegetables.Try unsalted nuts. Non-processed food vs fake food.
Drink real fruit juices, eat and drink only grass fed dairy, yogurt and meats. Buy the cage free eggs better yet get them from a local farm. Take some vitamin and mineral supplements since the food today is much lower in vit/min content then they were 50 years ago.
Don't worry about exercise. It will come as you feed your body the real food. The energy it will give you will make you want to move.

About 80% of a supermarket is made up of fake processed food created using corn and soy. Most of the meat is also "created" using corn/soy feed.
Transfer as many nutrients into your body as quickly as possible. Green and/or fruit smoothies are great for this. Don't worry about calories or carbs, proteins, fats. Instead worry about real vs. fake food. Wild vs farm raised seafood. Herbs/spices instead of sugar/chemicals.
In some ways this approach is very easy. The pounds melt off. No calories to count, no carbs to count no longer have to worry about portion sizes. Eat until you are full. In others it's very hard since we are surrounded by fake processed food.
Restaurants will use the cheapest ingredients to boost their profits. That means things like fake butter, msg, extra salt/sugar and chemicals to fool your taste buds. Their goal is not to replenish your body but to satisfy your hunger. Two different things.
Everyone is different to a large degree. That's why some people can smoke for 60 years and not get cancer while others do. In the same way think of the fake food. Some people can eat it without a problem. Others eat it and fatten up like cattle.
Maybe it's all the soy/🌽 they use. Maybe it's the chemicals in the fake food. Maybe it's the fact it doesn't have the micronutrients some people need to regulate their metabolism. Maybe it's all the above for some people. Who knows.
However, before you starve yourself on your next diet push your body to exhaustion "working out", or spend hundreds on the new craze to lose weight/get in shape; what's the harm in trying this simple approach? Feed yourself the nutrients that your body needs, cut out the poisons
If this is an interest to you a couple things you should know.

1. Your taste buds will change (takes about 3 weeks)
2. You will never be hungry
3. Our society is not real food friendly. So to stay on it you have to make an effort to have real food with you.
4. While any amount of real food vs fake food helps you. You don't really see benefits if you continue to consume the fake food. If a total switch in your daily diet is too big try to wean yourself off the fake food for a week or so while taking the vitamin/min supplements.
5. After eating real food for a while you will find the fake food tastes like crap. Too sweet, too salty, no flavor, fake flavors etc this may not seem like a problem but it does become one when all the food you normally ate no longer tastes very good.
6. Don't worry you will find new real foods you love. For example, Chocolate with 70%+ coca actually will taste good and not bland.

7. It really takes no money to do this. Some of real food costs more at the supermarkets etc but you save money on eating out high price snacks
As I stated at the beginning. This is just a thought and another option for some people that are looking to lose weight, increase energy, heal little aches and pains, increase mood, etc. Amazing what happens when their body is fed what it needs. Hope it helps. Good eating.
