Ever since the result something rather remarkable has become so embedded in the Brexit process and coverage that we don't even comment on it any more. It is the near complete failure to recognise there is a counter-party in these negotiations.
Almost everything - and in the case of Boris and the Hard Brexiteers absolutely everything - is seen through the frame of what can the UK get/do/achieve. There is not the faintest recognition there is another party (or to be precise 27 parties) that are central to the whole thing

After a range of meaningful discussions with key personnel in the @EntEthAlliance I must correct some of my previous statements about the organization.
I previously stated that the technical specification work was dominated by big companies. This was not completely correct. 2 of the 6 “regular" contributors to the technical specification (according to the Chair of the TSC) have fewer than 50 employees.
The six primary contributors to the technical specification are: BlockApps, Clearmatics, ConsenSys, Intel, JP Morgan, and Santander. Other than Clearmatics, the remainder are all on the EEA Board. entethalliance.org/members-2/?cat…

2/ The article claims DOJ/FBI “hid” information from Congress. Nice try, but this presupposes congress is entitled to specific sensitive details of a criminal investigation. It is not. Oversight is vital, but DOJ will not throw open the door of its ongoing investigations.
3/ The author cites the Speaker of the House as an authority on who should get access to what. Okay, that’s one branch of government’s view. The DOJ thought otherwise. That's a wash. Next argument, please?
