the entire narrative of capitalists is based, one hundred percent, on the randian myth that all shitty jobs are a phase you pass through on the way to a better job. why would someone pass on from EMT? why should literally saving lives be a bad job?
the entire narrative falls apart. it doesn't make sense. if people were constantly fighting to not be EMTs, we might have a shortage of EMTs. how would that be good? how would that be a good society? how is that ideal?
the entire capitalist narrative is based on a tacit belief - spoken often, though we rarely pay attention - that the only bad jobs are fast food and retail, nothing else. This is essential to the 1950s Leave It To Beaver worldview that underpins capitalism.
the one thing we (you know who you are) learned right away in life is that the privileged believe that life is always and should never be anything but
- school
- college and flipping burgers
- degree and career
and absolutely nothing else
they absolutely believe that 100% of jobs that aren't permanent, lifelong careers that will carry you into retirement are something that should happen for exactly 4 years and then end forever as you're replaced by another college kid
This is asinine. It's ludicrous, completely unfounded in reality or fact or logic. That's it. There's nothing further to discuss. Capitalists believe in an absolute clown-college string of gibberish. Their entire worldview - top to bottom - is a single episode of Andy Griffith.
There's no further analysis needed
