Here's something unsurprising: the newspaper that thoroughly embraces an anodyne status quo even at the expense of human suffering has endorsed the centrist businessman for governor. courant.com/opinion/editor…
Here's a good example of political both-sidesism: the Courant (not without reason) decries intransigence and partisanship in state government:
The thing is, the "groups out to protect their own interests" that the Courant is referring to are unions and business interests - THOSE ARE NOT EQUAL!
Unions represent workers and their interests. They are far more numerous than business owners. So when business owners' advocates (the GOP) obstruct a budget or some piece of legislation, it's not just a neutral disagreement. It's antimajoritarian obstruction to serve the rich.
