Another new book from one of the authors helping out @emilyslist. @jodipicoult’s newest is timely and tragic and lovely all at once.
Great mystery. I gasped out loud at least twice.
Interesting look at a changing time for both campaigns and the media.
And another great mystery.
Interesting reworking of the Taming of the Shrew.
Oprah and President Obama’s both right about this one: @tayari wrote a masterpiece. So good, Rosie tried to take a bite out of it, but still readable!
Been doing a lot of post-election fiction reading. First, another great one by @jopiazza, who is both a terrific writer and a lovely person I’m glad I got to know this year.
Then a recommendation from a Twitter-less coworker—couldn’t put it down!
And finally, the latest from Tana French. I was sad it wasn’t the Dublin Murder Squad, but she proved me wrong. It’s as good as the reviews say.
First book of vacation finished on the train! A dark, compact, well-written book.
Second book from vacation. James Baldwin knows how to use words sparingly but perfectly. Also, I cannot wait to see the movie.
Book #75 this year was beautiful—gutting and personal and perfectly written, as I knew it would be. Having @BlairBraverman read it was even better, but also more poignant. Thank you for sharing your story, Blair. Can’t wait for the next one.
First book of the new year is a poignant memoir about farm country and how we treat and trap people in poverty. Thanks for the suggestion, @tomcolicchio!
Becoming really is as good as everyone said. And, thanks to the passage below, it made me cry.
Lovely book about grieving, writing and dogs. Perfect dogs.
Great mystery. Perfect train read.
I can see why @ANNELAMOTT’s work has helped people through tough times. This was the first of her books I’ve read, but it won’t be the last.
Great read about unruly women by @annehelen. I see why so many people recommended it!
Timely book given what’s happening in Virginia right now. Thinking of the brave women who speak up.
Another mystery. A little too much on the process of living life in that era, but I always like a mystery.
Since I had to miss @BlairBraverman’s rookie Iditarod launch, I wanted to read up on what it might be like. Just another #uglydog rooting for the BraverMountain team!
This powerful book should be required reading for every white person in America. We all have work to do.
Great instruction manual for writers, fascinating memoir, a wonderful read.
