I made the mistake of using the word caravan. It is not a caravan but poor refugees who are fleeing violence, gangs, persecution to try to provide a better life for their children. Anyone walking 1000’s of miles to save their children is a hero
Thank you @JohnLLowery for pointing it out. I’m just so furious about our military being used like this that I didn’t think.
And when half only make it to the border they don’t have any guarantees that asylum will be granted. That’s how desperate these people are that they will take this dangerous journey for the possibility of being allowed in

This is very important to watch! I have been following the story on the Russian side since last spring when the Kremlin considered several ways of getting Deripaska’s companies out of sanctions. According to the Russians Mnuchin provided a path for lifting sanctions in April 2018

According to Russian media Rogozin’s visit with NASA has been cancelled. Sanctions were temporarily lifted to allow war criminal Rogozin into the US. He is currently head of Roscosmos and is the prior Defense Minister who was involved in Crimea and Syria.

This was originally planned in Oct. Correction he was Deputy PM
It was also reported awhile ago that during election Rogozin met with NRA officials

For the last 24 hours I've been texting & calling with refugees in Libya. 500 are apparently stuck in a Tripoli prison w/o food & water after heavy fighting broke out two days ago. They say their guards ran away, leaving them alone.
These refugees are men, women & children. They tried to cross the Mediterranean earlier this year, but were found by Italian boats, who turned them over to the EU-backed Libyan coastguard, who put them in prison. The conditions were already terrible before the fighting started.
Oh the phone earlier I could hear children crying & what sounded like bombing in the distance. The refugees say everyone's incredibly frightened. "We hear machine guns, tanks, big bombs, last night from the roof it was all fire."

There is nothing remotely Christian, American, or morally defensible about a policy that takes children away from their parents and warehouses them in cages. This is being carried out in our name and the shame is on us all.
I welcome Pope Francis’ recent comment, “I am on the side of the bishops’ conference,” affirming his support of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ statement calling this practice “contrary to our Catholic values” and “immoral.” This policy must be rescinded immediately.
We are told that family separations are required by the law or court decisions. That is not true.
The administration could, if it so desired, end these wanton acts of cruelty, today.

Went to Azraq Refugee Camp in Jordan today. Official population at 53,967, according to @UNHCR as of February 2018. All Syrian #refugees.

In many ways it was not what I expected.
First thing you notice is how remote the location is — some 100 kms east of Amman; 20 kms from Azraq town; 75 kms to Saudi Arabia; 255 kms to Iraq; and 90 kms to the Syrian border — from which its inhabitants fled.
At the same time, the harshness of the setting — a hardscrabble, sprawling 15 square km patch, scratched, etched and stretched out of endless rolling desert.

The perimeter was equally formidable, with security fencing, official patrols, check points and razor wire.
