And Chuck Johnson started raising funds for bringing Broaddrick/Shelton/Jones the day the Jane Doe case was refiled in NY - the same day, just about 12 hours before. 
This might seem backwards, but given there were two people working 'with' Jane Doe who were in communication with Dylan Howard at AMI, paid for their stories, it's not so far-fetched.
So, for plausible deniability, launch the fundraiser on the same day, but beforehand - easier to argue coincidence and confuse anyone when it pops up.
And, of course, they had been in communications with Shelton BEFORE the fundraiser started.
But point being: you don't waste these womens' stories. The campaign staged release of the AH tape, and were planning to make it sparkle with deflection before the debate.
