I have to take a second and go back to this op-ed from James MacDonald in ⁦@CTmagazine⁩.

Specifically, this quote:

“So much damage to so many innocent people – that is what, after six years, prompted us to study the Scriptures afresh..." christianitytoday.com/ct/2018/novemb…
I once witnessed James MacDonald scold a woman to tears because her cell phone rang during his sermon at Harvest Orlando.

She wept infront of the entire congregation.

Was that “damage to an innocent person?”
Another time, at Harvest Orlando, I saw James MacDonald eviscerate some volunteers (who were new believers) because his food wasn’t as warm as he liked it.

Was that “damage to innocent people?”
Another time, I witnessed as he made a sound engineer publicly cry because the record button hadn’t been pressed at the right time.

Was that damage to an innocent person?
Then, there was the time the entire elder board of Harvest Orlando decided that the senior pastor needed to be removed.

That same senior pastor also happened to be one of James MacDonald’s largest donors.

MacDonald fought tooth and nail to reinstate his donor as pastor.
He ultimately failed at the reinstatement.

But not before he removed Harvest Orlando from his fellowship of churches and sent mean-spirited letters and text messages to the elders.

How about all of those innocent people that were damaged in the process?
Now, shame on me for witnessing all of this and not saying anything until the very end. An enormous failure on my part.

But, never again. I will always speak up when I see spiritual abuse.

The career of James MacDonald is filled with damage to innocents at his hand.
