Time spent for God and the advancement of his kingdom is a time well spent and redeemed, with all round rewards. He said "seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all other things shall be added to you" Matthew 6:33
If truly you have a heart for God, you will have time for him. And when you have time for God, you surely make the most of your life. And you get God's attention. God attention gives a sustained blessings and peace.
A drunk doesn't need to schedule time for drinking. At every little notification, he is ready. That is, his heart is in it and drunkenness is in him. He doesn't see the call to drink as inconveniencing, no matter the time. But, how do you feel, at the call for service to God?
We must show undying commitment to the service of God, and of the interest of his kingdom. Don't waste your time on what doesn't profit beyond the immediate. Let serving God not be a burden to you. There is abundant joy and unending blessings in serving God.
