Wexton running hot in #VA10. That's the district we door-knocked in 2016, so it'd be good to see Comstock lose, even if two years late.
Sweet. MSNBC calls #VA10.
Sherrod Brown isn't a surprise, but it's a lovely moment anyway.
Donna Shalala wins #FL27. Not a huge fan of hers, but it's a pickup—and a race I was watching because of her history in higher ed administration. (She was the prez of Hunter College when I went there, before she moved up to Wisconsin.)
Riggleman in a walk.
Florida Amendment 4 at 64.5% with 82% counted. Needs 60% to pass, restoring voting rights to Florida felons. cnn.com/election/2018/…
Florida Amendment 4 hanging in at 64.3% with 92% counted.
MSNBC calls Amendment 4. Voting rights restored to 1.4 million Floridians. Boom.
Too nervous to drink tonight. Jesus.
People sure do hate Ted Cruz, though.
As you can see, we’re all too jittery to do much updating on the big board, but House flips go up as soon as they come in.
No votes tallied yet in either of the races we door-knocked, Delgado (congress) and Metzger (state senate).
SHARICE DAVIDS!
Kris Kobach loses. I like it when bad people are sad.
Come on, Wisconsin. I need you to come through.
Max Rose takes the Staten Island House seat. Hell yeah.
MSNBC projects Dems take the House, making my congressmember the chair of the judiciary committee. Way-too-early congrats, Jerry Nadler!
Evers up more than three points on Walker with more than half the votes counted. Comeoncomeoncomeoncomeoncomeon.
Brian Kemp up ten points on Stacey Abrams with 53% of the vote counted. Voter suppression is a hell of a thing.
And as long as we're reading more than we should into early returns, here's the state senate race the kids and I worked this week...
DELGADO WINS!
Steve King up only four points with one third of the vote counted. Damn.
With two thirds of the vote counted, Steve King has a lead of 0.1%. That's 178 votes.
Those Steve King numbers were from the NYT, which seems to be running a bit behind. CNN has him with a more robust lead with 72% in.
If you're curious, Matt Shea, the genocidal-holy-war WA state rep, won re-election 58-42.
