Trump listing off stats to show how historic his Senate gains are.
- Biggest gains from president's party since JFK in 1962
- Just 8 seats picked up by president's party in last 80yrs.
Trump says Senate result shows voters “clearly rebuked” Democrats’ handling of Kavanaugh nomination. Created “tremendous energy” among Republicans.
Trump is now calling out Republicans who refused to embrace him during the campaign and lost.

"Mia Love gave me no love and she lost. Too bad. Sorry Mia."
Trump argues, curiously, that it's better to have Democrats in charge of the House the Republicans holding it with a handful of votes.

(Says 'grandstanding' Republicans would have used their position to extract demands.)
Trump playing up bipartisanship a lot.

"It really could be a beautiful, bipartisan kind of situation”, he says.

Adds can work on healthcare, lowering drug prices, infrastructure.
But Trump warns he has "investigation fatigue" and will hit back if Dems launch probes.

“I can see it being extremely good for me politically because I think I’m better at that game than they are.”
Trump says he would "not necessarily" force a government shutdown to secure border wall funding. He threatened the opposite before midterms.
Trump declines to rule out sacking Jeff Sessions and Ryan Zinke. Says on latter something could be decided in a week.
Trump indicates he won't publish his tax returns if demanded by House investigations. “People wouldn’t understand them.”

Trump asked if he can confirm Pence will be with him on 2020 ticket.

“Mike,” he says, finding Pence in the crowd. "Will you be my running mate?"
Trump on midterms: "I thought it was very close to complete victory."

(For first time in 8 years his party does not hold the House.)
Trump on staff changes: “This is a hot White House. This is a White House that people want to work with.”
Trump on tone / media: "I would love to see unity and peace and love and every other word you want to use."

But says he is not treated fairly.
Trump: “I would love to have a very even, modest, boring tone. I would be honoured by that.”
Trump: "Do you impeach somebody because he’s created the greatest economic success in the history of our country?"
