@cory_foy Getting the basics right requires acknowledging that you got them wrong in 1st place, for a while already.
Admitting you were wrong on such a fundamental level takes amounts of humility that will not have been helpful in getting to the top of most companies.

@cory_foy @swardley Which is why I’ve come to think of disruptive ‘kill your company’ as one of the best ways to change. A seperate org, set up next to the original. Apply startup techniques & in time consumes the old org. Basics easier to do right from the start. less painful for leaders.
