1/There is a BIG distinction between believing global warming is real + important
(I DO, fully)

––and believing there are OTHER problems (w/o documentaries or religious movements) that are MORE important SOONER...
2/ My own personal lens of moral philosophy is what reduces the MOST human suffering (in the next 10 years)...

Other peoples values may understandably care MORE (& more urgently) about reducing suffering for all living things (animals, plants, oceans)...
3/ My own values bias to prioritize people SUFFERING
HERE + NOW vs THERE + THEN

health: cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, addiction, disabilities
social: unjust incarceration, families separated/ripped apart, fatherless children

NOT mutually exclusive

2. There are individual journalists doing everything in their power to save the republic, this noble experiment. There are some media houses, particularly print media, that are too.

The belief that global warming is caused by man rests on a collectivist view of man—i.e., that there is an entity consisting of billions of people acting as a unit. But in fact, there are only individual human beings, acting separately and independently.
Thus, global warming is at most the unintended by-product of the actions of billions of people over almost 250 years, for which no one individual or voluntary association of individuals is responsible. AN ACT FOR WHICH NO ONE IS RESPONSIBLE IS AN ACT OF NATURE.
What would be the way to deal with global warming once it is seen as an act of nature? Through global central planning by a few thousand “experts” or by the separate, independent planning of billions of individuals, coordinated by the price system—i.e., socialism or capitalism?

1/ How to get promoted at a startup:

At larger companies career tracks are (too) well defined, and there are clear paths on how to move up. But at startups there isn’t a playbook for how to get promoted.
2/ By “promoted” I mean bigger title, more comp, more responsibility - whatever it is that you care about. You’re more likely to get it if you do these things.
3/ At a startup things move quickly, there often isn’t a defined HR - if there is the promotion norms change every 6 mo's as company vision, strategy, team, evolve. Despite ever evolving landscape, there are things you can do to get promoted early. This gets my attention:
