Hello mumbai dilli wallas. This is a short appeal for those of you who love Goa and are planning to come here this season. Or ever. 1. Refuse plastic bottles of water. Carry water bottles. Everyone is happy to refill with filtered water. It’s safe. Tastier.
2. Don’t eat Lays chips. Don’t eat any thing from packets. There’s a garbage crisis. Don’t add to it. Carry your empty beer cans bottles if you’re drinking outdoors.
3. Don’t drive fast. People live in both Sides of the road. It’s their home. 40 is fast. Amble. Get Goa speed. It’s super fun.
4. Park in empty spaces. Not in front of your favourite restaurant. Don’t honk. This is what we all came running away from. Sometimes it takes ten fifteen minutes for traffic to clear. That’s because a lot of us are here. Chill. Listen to music. Look outside. Talk to your friends
5. Don’t waste water. Don’t fill that massive bathtub. There’s a water crisis. And there’s an ocean (sorry I’m trying hard to not outrage) and loads of swimming pools.
Pls tip. The food is excellent. The servers smile. Smile back. Yes, I’m looking at you dilli. Carry change. Tip.
7. Shut off the AC and fans and lights when you leave your rooms. There’s massive load shedding. Do your bit.
8. There are folks from Punjab, Jammu, Himachal and Nepal at the shacks on the beach. Be nice. They’re your countrymen.
9. Don’t use selfie sticks. Yes, Engg guys from Bangalore and elsewhere - you need to stop that. Don’t video everyone at the beach. Don’t take pics of kids. Just don’t. One of these days someone will lose it at you and put that selfie stick where it belongs.
10. We all need to sober up and treat Goa better. Be nice. To the people and the environment. It’s gonna go to hell pretty fast otherwise. Enjoy your stay. Ciao.
Reward for reading all tweets - GST is a killer. Carry your own coffee, tea bags. Buy cold drinks and mixes. Buy snacks at the local bakeries and keep. The small stuff really adds up if you’re in a hotel.
11. Don’t make WhatsApp video calls in public. Don’t play videos without headphones in public. Don’t let your kids do that too. Keep spare and Child friendly headphones. nursery rhymes are cute but irritating when one is trying to read.

Villa Blanche. Run by Yogini. One of the original Osho disciples. Good food. Easy vibe. Bring a book. Order salads and the goulash. She will recommend a fresh cake with homemade ice cream. Listen to her. They’re mind blowingly yum
The best gelato. Really. And loads of flavours you can taste before choosing. Anjuna Mapusa Road. They do terrific sundaes as well. Save your plastic tasting spoon and re-use it with your order
Don’t throw your butts on the floor 😂. If you smoke dispose the remains properly. #goathings
You can cycle in old Goa. Mornings are good. This is he main road opposite the Chapel of Bom Jesus
Vinayak. Assagao Bardez. Expect to wait 10-15 minutes but The wait is worth it. Order the thali and a cold beer. Pomfret and kingfish take a bit of time. Discuss with the helpful servers how you can schedule the order. Goan food done right.
Eat at Gunpowder. Chilly powder tamarind margarita. Try the specials. Make sure you reserve. They’re small and super busy. Browse people’s tree shop next door while you wait.
