A glorious day with our family in Abagana, Anambra, yesterday - as we received the blessings of my Ugbo-Ezekwesili Clan, our Royal Father - Igwe Abagana & also from Igwe Nimo to formally begin this race to rescue Nigeria.
Their enthusiasm filled my heart with JOY! #Fight4Naija
Our visit to receive the Blessing of our Royal Fathers before we commence the journey of our #Fight4Naija #Hope2019 Campaign in earnest!
Here we are with my Igwe, His Majesty Obi, Sir P.M Okeke, Igwe Abagana, Anambra state.
His empowering words were incredibly ENERGIZING! 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
We also visited Nimo - our sister town & my husband’s maternal town - to see His Royal Majesty, Igwe Maximus Ike Oliobi of Nimo, Anambra State. He spoke of his personal experience on how my Madam Due Process work was the highpoint of Public Contracting. Amazing Igwe! #Fight4Naija

I have always looked at Life as the opportunity we all have to “Solve a Series of Problems”. This #Mindset has made it easier for me to always think of a Problem hard enough that I can attempt a new way of solving it without feeling the pressure of existing ways.
I totally do not believe that Citizens are Powerless. I firmly believe that every Citizen is more Powerful than they realize. Even under military rule when I was younger, the thought of powerlessness never crossed my mind.
Getting Citizens to KNOW this is a Problem solved daily.

The @NGRPresident @MBuhari is very UNJUST to his citizens in the way he has failed to Dignify their lives.
I demand that the President, C-in-C IMMEDIATELY renders an accurate report of the Counter-Terrorism war & National Security more broadly.

You OWE this to your citizens.
Each time the President nods his own head for “great work on stemming Insecurity” , one concludes that he is far removed from the reality of what his citizens especially in the North East, North Central and Zamfara & Kaduna in the North West have suffered & STILL SUFFER. Tragic.
I advise the President to step away from seeing issues of National Security as “arsenals” for his reelection & do the right thing; which is to give all weight to his constitutional duty to protect his country and citizens.

Get Nigeria’s priorities right IMMEDIATELY, @MBuhari .

Yesterday we received news that a detained immigrant mother of three young children rep'd by @RAICESTEXAS was to be released and reunited with her sons in NY. She has been detained over two months despite being an asylum seeker who passed the credible fear interview.
Her youngest child turned 3 on July 2nd, in federal custody WITHOUT HIS MOTHER.
BDS attorneys, jumping in as co-counsel, rushed to Federal Plaza with social workers to assist the family in the reunification. The mother spent literally the entire day waiting to be with her children again.

Yesterday the father of Casper & Corey Platt May (2 & 6yo) was found dead. His kids were killed in February by Robert Brown, who hit them at 61mph in a 30 zone. Brown had taken cocaine, diazepam & zopiclone. He had 31 convictions for driving while disqualified. He got 9 years.
It's that time of year when the national papers like to rant about cyclists. Meanwhile, Douglas Kennedy just got 150 hours of community service and a fine for driving at 70mph in a 40mph zone in Lancing, killing Trevor Porter, a grandfather of 59. Unreported except in local press
The prosecution of Charlie Alliston focused on his non-road legal bike. He was jailed for 18 months. Donut Birle had faulty lights on his car when he killed Zoltan Domotor at 6:30am on a winter's morning. 9 months, suspended.
