.@brhodes & Jake Sullivan say an “alternative vision” for Dems’ foreign policy includes “insisting that a war against Iran cannot take place without congressional authorization.” Like say, the congressional authorization Dems gave for Iraq. How about... opposing a war, period?

3 Their proposed measures include “possible sanctions” on Saudi & looking at Saudi actions that are “counter to American interests.” Do those include all the Saudi actions you supported, or nah?
4 On the “modernization” - i.e. massive expansion — of the US nuclear arsenal, they want that “scrutinized.” No surprise that that’s as far as they can go, given it was their boss, Obama, whose nuclear weapons modernization Trump is continuing.
5 Notably absent from this “alternative vision”: even a word about Israel. I take that as a tacit endorsement of the Trump vision, which includes supporting Israeli forces who gun down unarmed Gazan protesters & cutting vital aid to Palestinian refugees. (nyti.ms/2DJvLJ6?smid=n…)
