i’m going to be posting almost exclusively about james fields’ trial for the next few weeks. this is going to be a really hard time for a lot of people. please mute me if that’s what you need to do to take care of yourself.
i will do my best to tell this story in a way that honors the survivors & the work of my community. i hope to present the facts of this trial in their truest form, without the addition of any tepid both sides bullshit. you deserve better than to be gaslit about domestic terrorism
love & solidarity with everyone affected by this ongoing nightmare. you are powerful. take care of each other.
and rest in power, heather heyer 💜
well it's over, for now. thank you all for bearing with me, for bearing witness if you were able. i hope i've succeeded in bringing information about this trial to those who desired it in a way that was respectful & responsible. i hope i haven't (re)traumatized too many people.
i am so grateful to be part of such a beautiful, resilient community. thank you all for trusting me to bring you this painful, complicated story. i can't believe that thousands of people listened to me sitting on my closet floor every night, trying not to cry.
all ten episodes of the podcast about the trial are available here. there is a link to an approximate transcript in each episode description & each episode has a detailed content warning in the introduction. be gentle with yourselves, first and foremossoundcloud.com/wtju/sets/the-…IORY
the sentencing hearing for this case will be march 29th. there is a status hearing in the federal case january 31st. so while i'm done posting about this all day every day, it isn't over. back to city government & dog pictures for now, but i'll be back in court whenever he is.
