President's lawyers think it was unfair for Mueller to ask questions of the President without first informing the President that he should tell the truth because Mueller might have evidence to show false answers were false. nytimes.com/2018/11/29/us/…
This is odd. I screen-shotted that excerpt when the story was new 6 hours ago. If you search for the 1st phrase in the screen-shot, "the fact that Mr. Cohen's admission in a deal," you'll see it coming up in Google's cache as well as in stories about it.
But as @ProfMJCleveland noted to me, right now that screen-shotted passage does not seem to be in the article. And yet there is no update re the NYT story. Not sure what happened.
Just guessing, but I wonder if it was something the lawyers said off the record, but the reporter's notes weren't clear on it being off the record. Perhaps when the story came out, the lawyers read it, flipped that the off-the-record part was there, and the reporters yanked it.
