Watching Die Hard for the first time. It is so obviously a Christmas movie I don’t understand why it’s even up for debate.
My mother in law was outraged that the police didn’t listen to McClane on the radio and also said that if this movie gets any more exciting we’ll need to break into the Christmas pudding.
Honestly the biggest victim so far is John McClane’s shirt. Why is he even wearing it still? What purpose is it serving?

Alan Rickman should have won an Oscar for this movie.
This was his first film role and he’s doing an American accent via a German accent to try and fool McClane and it is SPECTACULAR
Trevette from Walker Texas Ranger is doing great work in this as the tech bad guy though I am still somewhat unclear as to what is happening here (there’s a vault with bonds and asking for terrorists to be released is a distraction?)

This movie ends with Let It Snow, this is not just a Christmas movie, it is the best Christmas movie
Also a terror plot that relies on people not figuring out the terrorists aren’t dead has some flaws when the main terrorist has already been identified.
