Our culture’s obsession and relationship with wealth is just horrifying. The glorification of the wealthy and vilifying of the poor is beyond problematic, and promotes the falsehood that the affluent have obviously earned their position.
It’s a chain reaction that consistently tilts the playing field until the powerful have all the advantages and the status of the poor becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy as everything is stacked against them and so they deserve more obstacles and no help.
If there’s any good that comes out of this sham of a presidency I hope the misconception is shattered that the wealthy are automatically competent and capable of running any entity, business or government or otherwise.
