Remember when the woman who wrote about her tomboy daughter in the @nytimes was harassed by trans activists? @Martina thanked the writer at the time. At this moment McKinnon et al are dredging it up to "discredit" Martina further. This goes beyond only women's sport.
2/ Davis was ruthlessly attacked in a coordinated campaign for what? For a mild article saying she wished people would stop asking if her gender nonconforming 7-year-old daughter was trans.

3/ Some activists even schemed about finding out where Davis and her family lived, so they could hang out in the local park and **try to talk to the 7-year-old**.
4/ This shit is never ending. Capitulation/apologies result in escalation of harassment. Something very wrong is going on in our society when trans activists attack even those who consider themselves "trans allies." They've brought children into it, like Davis' daughter. AGAIN.
5/ Look at screen caps in the above tweet thread from 2017. These ppl talked about going to "every park in Brooklyn" to look for the child to "air drop" neckties & tell "him" re: puberty blockers. And McKinnon TODAY says "WHOAH" that @Martina tweeted to thank the child's mother.
6/ McKinnon has a history of bringing kids into it. On Mother's Day 2017, McKinnon made a video insisting MTFs should be celebrated, and kids w/ "unsupportive" mothers should run away from home to form "glitter families" w/ adult trans. @Martina

1/ In 2015, the mother of a young adult w/Down Syndrome fundraised for "top surgery," even when her daughter was in ICU w/serious health issues. Those of us who uncovered/revealed it in 2015 assumed it would peak-trans many people. No one, outside a few blogs, said a word.
(This is the archived GenderTrender post from 2015, which gives the whole story of the fundraising campaign for double mastectomy for a Down Syndrome patient in the ICU, and Olson-Kennedy's involvement in it).

Anyone who knows anything about Down Syndrome will be aware that people who have it often also have many serious comorbid health problems--problems severe enough to land someone in an intensive care unit.

Here's an idea: Trans activists could campaign to get TSA to hire more trans security officers to perform searches on trans passengers. Why is it that women (in this case, female TSA agents) are always the ones who have to just suck it up & bear the brunt of trans outrage?
A true trans rights movement would campaign for solutions w/out taking away other ppl's rights. Instead, it's always about centering trans ppl, usually at women's expense. And in the case of TSA, at the expense of public safety. Guess what: hijackers hide stuff in the groin area.

This is only an extreme example of something getting more common by the day. One news story in the US (if we even get one) isn't enough. A brave editor (in MSM not blogs or rightwing outlets) must stand behind their journos & take this on as a regular beat--like @thetimes

I want to address some of the misinformation that’s been spread recently about blockers - especially in treating #trans kids for gender dysphoria.

Inaccuracies & inflammatory propaganda have been pushed by trans-hostile individuals & unfortunately taken hold in the public sphere
Firstly, there is this scare-tactic headline that “blockers make kids infertile” - This is absolutely UNTRUE!!!

What blockers do is ‘pause puberty’ for the length of time that the person is taking the treatment.

Once treatment stops, puberty resumes.
In fact, blockers have been used to treat kids with precocious puberty for years with no recorded impact on fertility due to taking blocking medication.

Fact: Blockers are used as part of the IVF fertility treatment cycle (albeit for shorter periods of time)

It is *not* a "total reversal" of his beliefs for *all* #Trans ppl. Your selective reading of the page is very telling and is representative of the mentality & intentions common among Trans "activists/allies." Altho this case and perhaps your own perspective are not nearly the1/x
most egregious, they are still problematic. Anyone reading your tweets would likely believe that Hakeem does not believe in psychotherapy for *any* #Trans ppl, which is clearly not the case. It is like those who ignore that @BlanchardPhD & @profjmb are among the strongest 2/x
