I had never seen the ‘By Laws’ book until I got down to the legalities of it. One can become a Lifetime Member and never oay subscription fee if one pays 2500/- + 500/-

Add to that the 10% from all my Dubbing income since 2006 - I have been the VO in over 75 films. Do the math.

95 members didn’t pay membership fee beginning of 2016 & if all their membership automatically lapsed, they MUST get new cards according to the ByLaw. So did all these 95 members pay the ‘new fee’ of 1.5 lakhs each&become ‘new members’? Did the Union make 1Crore42 Lakh this year?
Mr Radha Ravi has arbitrarily removed members if he feels like it - the Union By Law keeps saying ‘Thalaivar Karudhinaal’ meaning ‘IF the leader so wishes’ and the Union sends out letters to EVERY Studio to not work with artistes. Here is one addressed to Prasad Studios
FYI @BoomaRao was told of the ‘procedure’ to meet Mr Radha Ravi at his residence if one has to become a Dubbing Union member. She waited 2 years to join the DU till President changed. When she mentioned this in a *closed FB Group* of D-Union members she was instantly terminated.
This industry works on trust. Most of the singers and dubbing artistes dont sign agreements. We work and hope to be paid. Some times we dont. It was no big deal that the Dubbing Union never gave me a receipt. That was what we were all used to. So we just go with the flow and work
So many men who were named just took the ‘I ll be silent till this goes away’. No apology NOTHING. Right from Ramesh Prabha to Karthik to Kailash Kher. They all go about their careers with not even a blip while I am told to become a housemaid AND give an apology. Nanri Vanakkam.
