You may recall my story last week on the former associate of Michael Flynn, Bijan Kian - in a nutshell, the judge denied on the spot a req by defense attys to delay his trial now set for Feb 11. They cited a need to obtain docs from a foreign country etc. for the delay.

During the hearing, prosecutors acknowledged that the request to delay isn't totally unfounded, it could take time to get docs/prep foreign witnesses etc but the judge decided to forge ahead, noting that any motions to continue could be filed before Feb 8 if needed.

On Friday (while I was out), prosecutors ended up filed a motion to continue the trial for 2 weeks beyond the current date, essentially repeating what was said in court last week. As of Monday, Judge Trenga has not yet ruled on this motion.
