This isn’t an admonishment. Some Jews are emotionally & intellectually unequiped to just accept that some people hate them. From my own observation, those who are left leaning suffer from this the most because their idealism means they don’t have a balanced take on the world 1/6
Some Jews believe they can explain, educate & rationalise out of existence all antisemitism. They believe if they behave decently they will be liked. They believe appealing to the world will make it stop. It won’t. There will always be some people who just hate you 2/6
It also leads to some Jews going down absurd avenues, refusing to accept they’re dealing with hate that won’t be reasoned with. They therefore cannibalise the Jewish people, always thinking it must be something we’re doing wrong rather than that we’re dealing with bastards 3/6
It’s a tough world & we evolved from apes. Accept it. You can only go so far. Stop suffering needlessly by pursuing lost causes. Some antisemites aren’t there to be won over - they’re there to be defeated or disempowered 4/6
Let go & make peace with the fact that some people hate you & get on with your life. The goal isn’t to always win over the bad guys, it’s to defeat them. In good times we can do this in the arena of ideas as we’re seeing with Corbynites. In bad times force is necessary: Nazis 5/6
