You’re never alone when debating antisemitism with a Corbynite - there’s always a straw man, with his straw man wife and their straw man children and they’re all saying “it’s not antisemitic to criticise Israel...”
No one says it’s antisemitic to criticise Israel (even if it’s, rather tellingly, the only country you criticise). But there are some forms of criticism which are rendered in an antisemitic way or which replicate antisemitic conspiracies of Jewish control
And there are some forms of antisemtism which have nothing to do with Israel - such as accusing Jews of LYING about antisemitism because they have an issue with advocates for Palestine. You’re just saying Jews are bad faith liars. It’s racist
We should also add - it’s not anti-Palestinian to criticise the terrible crimes & atrocities that have been committed by Palestinians & the parts of their society that encourage & praise crimes such as blowing kids up in cafes & shooting pregnant women in the stomach
Those who excuse Palestinians for these crimes are guilty of a racist bigotry of low expectations that dehumanises them & implies they are incapable of acting other than like savages. SEE NEXT TWEETS
Apologists will say “you can’t blame them cos of how they live”. Nonsense. Rich British kids have blown themselves up on the tube & stabbed people to death in London. They didn’t live under occupation, so clearly indoctrination is a more important ignition for jihadist violence
And Palestinian media and society encourages children to murder Jews and to die in order to become “martyrs”. The Palestinian authority even pays the families of terrorists who commit murder. They incentivise bloodshed.
Then we come to who’s responsible for the present situation in Gaza - Israelis who take the same measures you would to protect your families from people who want to kill them, or Hamas who could have chosen peace & built Gaza which ISN’T occupied but choose AS destruction fantasy
Anyone who thinks I’d lose any sleep over a peaceful state living alongside Israel and recognising the right of Jews to exercise self-determination is an idiot. Any straw man who says so is talking out of his straw arse.
