Red Ice promoted that whole thing where they encouraged people to adopt pit bulls from shelters and then had them put down. They joined up last year with the Dogsbite.org crowd and started cross-promoting on Red Ice, in case there was ever any doubt what DB was about.

The #PitBullDropOff hashtag was their idea of super funny. When I was at Snopes, we debunked it. But then stories started to appear of pit bull terriers that had been adopted and then were horribly mutilated and then killed. patch.com/california/lak…

I did some research a few years back on breed bans and found something that shocked even my cynical ass. Breed bans are enacted like clockwork all over the world 3-5 years after major demographic changes. Specifically, when neighborhoods go from all or mostly white to diverse.
